The Hallowmas Chant

Gone to the Summerland:
Distant shores grown past;
Winter draws upon us now,
Summer didn't last.

Though the Maid has gone away,
She'll be back again;
She has gone to grow to full,
(The Godchild is within...!)

Sleeps She now within His arms,
The Child is in the womb;
The Magick that is loose this night
Has opened up the tomb.

Summer's warmth has come and gone
Let us light the fire,
Call our friends from Avalon,
If they so desire.

Near we now the gates of death
On this fearsome night,
We'll call lost loved ones from within
To join us in this Rite !
